Lights. Camera. ACTION! It’s time to secure your screen! October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month — Your chance to sharpen your cybersecurity skills, learn ways to avoid security threats and have some fun while you’re at it!
We have been rolling out the red carpet to share helpful tips and resources to help you stay safe and secure, whether at work or at home. Our own Cyber Security Experts starred in our premier of: THE CYBER KNIGHT RISES: Defending the Digital Realm on Tuesday, October 24 @ 2 PM EST.
Since the inception of the Covid pandemic, there has been a surge of cyberattacks in Canada. Cybercrime has become more popular with criminals. Malicious Hackers are using sophisticated techniques to personalize their attacks by grabbing your information from your social media accounts. These attacks range from CERB Fraud emails to CRA scam text to Revenue Canada fake calls.
You must continue to check of any vulnerabilities in your systems in a continuous basis in order to minimize. You must teach your employees the important cybersecurity skills needed in order to combat these hackers from taking advantage of you. The last thing you need is to pay millions of dollars to a hacker to get your data from a ransomware attack!
90% of successful network breaches were caused by user error, meaning your employees! No industry is safe from cyber security threats – even experts like us are targeted by cyber criminals. If you missed our premier, don’t worry you can still view the recording. We recommend this to keep you and your team safe from the threat of the web. You might want to take notes on this recording due to the length of the video. We hope these tips are helpful to your company’s cybersecurity. With these tips, your company will have an advantage over others.
I am convinced that there are only two types of companies: those that have been hacked and those that will be. And even they are converging into one category: companies that have been hacked and will be hacked again.
